Eric is the company's managing director, a position he has held since 1995. A graduate of Glasgow University,
Eric is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in the UK and Canada. He is an Associate of the Chartered
Insurance Institute and looks after commercial clients in a variety of industry sectors.
Margaret is the company secretary. She is a Chartered Accountant and has responsibility for all financial administration, and she
is a Member of the Society of Financial Advisers, providing financial advisory services for our clients.
John is our commercial director. He joined Boyd & Company in 1994 following 22 years with Norwich Union.
John is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has considerable experience of commercial
insurance with particular emphasis on motor fleet and motor trade.
Gary is our development director. He joined Boyd & Company in 2005 and has specific responsibility for
business marketing and development. Gary has over 30 years' experience of commercial insurance across a variety of
business sectors, having previously managed the Scottish operation of a large UK general insurance broker.
Frances is the company's office manager. Frances, who graduated with a BA in Business Administration from
Strathclyde University, has worked with Boyd & Company for over 15 years. In addition to client
responsibilities, Frances co-ordinates the company's regulatory compliance function.
Alan is a senior commercial broker. He has over 30 years experience of the commercial insurance sector
having worked with insurance companies, national insurance brokers and Lloyds brokers. He is an Associate of the
Chartered Insurance Institute.
Stephen is a senior commercial broker involved in business development. With a background in both broking and
claims, Stephen has over 18 years insurance experience looking after clients across a variety of industry
sectors.
Debbie is a commercial broker involved in new business and marketing. Debbie has experience of a variety of
industry sectors, having previously worked with two national broking firms.
Tracey joined Boyd & Co in 1992. She has considerable experience of all
aspects of the business and provides claims and administrative support for a number of our commercial clients.
Carol Ann joined Boyd & Co in 2003 and she has insurance company experience through roles with Esure and Royal
& Sun Alliance where she gained experience of claims handling and staff training. Carol Ann provides claims and
administrative support for a number of our commercial clients.
Lynn joined Boyd & Co in 2003 and and has experience of a number of different personal insurance products in terms
of both underwriting and claims. She has recently moved to the commercial team where she provides administrative support.
Lorraine joined Boyd & Co in 1991 following a number of years in the claims department
of Aviva. Lorraine continues to have a claims role and looks after all claims for our larger commercial
clients.
Stephen has recently joined Boyd & Co having worked previously for a number of years with Towergate where
he gained invaluable experience in a broad range of commercial products.
John has been with Boyd & Co for several years and has responsibility for packaged policies for owner
managed businesses.
Natalie joined Boyd & Co in 2005 and she specialises in private car and household business although she has experience
of a number of different personal insurance products in terms of both underwriting and claims.
Kirsten has been with Boyd & Co since leaving college in 2007 and she specialises in private car and
household business although she has experience of a number of different personal insurance products in terms
of both underwriting and claims.
Alison joined Boyd & Co in 1995 and has many years of experience in personal insurance, she currently has responsibility
for checking and issuing renewal notices and she also assists with the company's monthly accounts.
Ruth provides administrative support in relation to the company's Life & Pensions business having
previously held similar roles within brokers and insurance companies. Ruth also assists with the company's
monthly accounts function.
Laura has been with Boyd & Co since 2001. In addition to her role as receptionist, Laura carries out
a number of additional administrative support functions.
